Overview of the Building Materials Industry

Today, provinces and cities are committed to ecological environmental protection, promoting energy conservation and emission reduction for enterprises, and achieving sustainable development. This necessitates that traditional, high-energy-consuming, and highly polluting enterprises in the building materials industry must change their development strategies, introduce new energy-saving technologies, adopt advanced energy-saving processes and equipment, and develop green building materials. In addition to focusing on environmentally friendly materials in their own production, the building materials industry also needs to avoid pollution from various external factors, one of which is boilers. Industrial boiler owners are mainly concentrated in the steel, building materials, chemical, and urban heating industries. The building materials industry is a major energy consumer and also a major polluter. Therefore, the building materials industry must accelerate energy conservation and emission reduction, achieve clean production, and promote ecological civilization construction.

Boiler Applications in the Building Materials Industry

Since boilers in the building materials industry mostly provide power for the production process, but the production processes vary greatly, here we take the common production of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks as an example. The main equipment required for the AAC production line includes cutting machines, crushers, mixers, autoclaves, and an important piece of equipment: a boiler that provides steam curing for the AAC blocks. In this production process, the boiler mainly provides high-temperature and high-pressure steam to the autoclave for high-temperature steam output, used for hydrothermal reaction of the AAC blocks, improving the strength and performance of the products. In most cases, the boilers used in the building materials industry are steam boilers used for steam generation. However, many building materials companies do purchase hot water boilers for heating and hot water supply.
